In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to mosquito control.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   Chapter 252 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 5B the following section:-

 

   Section 5C.  The board shall meet annually with local boards of health prior to April 15 to map out a specific strategy for reducing the possibility of West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis of occurring.  That strategy shall include but not be limited to identifying factors that would require aerial spraying, increased ground spraying, and notification of residents.  Said meeting shall also determine the cost of aerial spraying of various areas where mosquito-borne viruses have been detected in the past.
