In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the expansion of medical peer review.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.

 

Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of section 204 the following :
(f) The provisions of this section shall apply to any individual or group that forms a committee to perform the duties of a medical peer review committee, notwithstanding the fact that the formation of the committee is not required by law or regulation or that the individual or group is not affiliated with a public hospital or licensed hospital or nursing home or health maintenance organization.
