An Act to protect children from tobacco products packaged as cigars, little cigars, minicigars and any pseudo cigarette. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 270 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 6A, the following new section 6B:
It shall be illegal for cigarette manufacturers to sell products individually in Massachusetts that are labeled as little cigars, or to introduce products into the marketplace that are very similar to cigarettes but which are packaged and promoted as little cigars.
