In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act further regulating long term care facilities.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by

 

inserting after section 71A½ the following section:—

 

Section 71C. Residency agreements entered into by a resident

 

or inpatient of a facility licensed pursuant to section 71 shall terminate

 

on the death of the resident or inpatient notwithstanding

 

any provision providing for notice of leaving.
