In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act providing for sharps collection centers on the premises of licensed pharmacies and drug stores .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 3 of chapter 172 of the Acts of 2006 is hereby amended by adding at the end of subsection (a) of section 27A the following sentence:

 

                Provided further that any pharmacist, wholesale druggist or other entity licensed under the provision of chapter 112 of the General Laws who are authorized to sell hypodermic needles and lancets shall provide a sharps collection center on the premises in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth under Massachusetts General Laws chapter 94C, section 27A.
