In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act Requiring Typed or Printed Pharmacy Prescriptions.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 94C of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, no pharmacist, retail drug store or dispenser may fill any prescription unless said prescription has been hand printed, typed or electronically generated.

 

Section 2. Any violation of the above provision shall result in a fine of not more than $1000 per incident and possible revocation of license to dispense.
