An Act to establish a reporting system for drug overdoses. . |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 12A of Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following:-
In cases of examination or treatment of a person with injuries resulting from opiate, illegal, or illicit drug overdose, a hospital, community health center or clinic shall report such de-identified, aggregate information in such a manner to be determined in conjunction with the Department of Public Health.
