 An Act protecting the rights of homeowners. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.   Section 129B of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking paragraph (6) and replacing it with the following:—
(6) A firearm identification card shall entitle a holder thereof to purchase, possess, sell, transport and carry a non-large capacity rifle or shotgun, and any rifle or shotgun ammunition. A firearm identification card shall be valid for the possession and ownership or firearms, large capacity rifles or shotguns, feeding devices and ammunition therefore, in the home only if said firearm, rifle or shotgun was otherwise lawfully acquired.
