An Act directing the State Retirement Board to grant a certain pension to Gerald McLaughlin. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the state retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to retire Gerald McLaughlin, a police officer in the state police, who as a result of injuries sustained while in the performance of his duties, is totally and permanently incapacitated for further service as a police officer, at a yearly amount of pension equal to the regular rate of compensation he would have been entitled to receive had he continued in service as a police officer in the state police at the grade held by him at the time of his retirement.
