In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the auditing of the claims trust fund.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   Section 3A of chapter 32B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end of the third paragraph the following sentence:—

 

    The claims trust fund shall be audited within ninety days of the close of each subdivision’s fiscal year to ensure that the fund is being administered consistent with the provisions of this chapter and for the benefit of fund participants.
