An Act authorizing the State Retirement Board to allow Richard F. McDermott to buy back certain retirement benefits. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the state retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to allow Richard F. McDermott, Plant Engineer for the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, to buy back one year of retirement benefits, which was lost when he was unjustly dismissed from his position of Director of Maintenance for the Watertown Housing Authority and reinstated one year later.
