 An Act relative to minimum state education aid for all municipalities.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 2 of chapter 70 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the definition of “Minimum aid” and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-

 

“Minimum aid” the amount of minimum state school aid available to a municipality in any fiscal year, which for fiscal year 2008 shall be $1,500 multiplied by the district foundation enrollment, for fiscal year 2009 shall be $1,750 multiplied by the district foundation enrollment, for fiscal year 2010 shall be $2,000 multiplied by the district foundation enrollment and for each fiscal year after 2010 shall be increased by the same percentage as the Consumer Price Index.
