In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to call and volunteer firefighters.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 177B of chapter 14 9 of the General Laws, as appearing in the tercentennial edition, is hereby amended by striking from the second paragraph, “but shall not include any person who received compensation for over nine hundred and seventy- five hours of services rendered in such capacity over the preceding six month period.”  And inserting the following in its place:  “who shall be considered employees of the community in which they serve.”
