An Act relative to the surviving spouse of Mr. David McHugh.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary and in order to promote the public good, the state board of retirement is hereby authorized and directed to pay the surviving spouse of Mr. David McHugh, an employee of the Lowell Public School Department who was killed while in the performance of his duties, the killed-in-the-line-of-duty death benefit provided under section 100A of Chapter 32 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
