An Act Relative to the State Board of Retirement and Creditable Service for Thomas Guerino.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the state board of retirement shall credit Thomas Guerino with the service he rendered from August of 1994 through October 2003 while serving as executive director of the Massachusetts Rural Development Council for the purpose of determining a retirement allowance pursuant to said chapter 32.  Eligibility for the creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment to the state retirement system an amount equal to the contribution he would have otherwise paid to the state retirement system for said period of service together with regular interest thereon.  Such repayment shall be made in 1 sum or in installments as the state board of retirement shall prescribe.
