An Act authorizing the teachers retirement board to pay certain retirement benefits to Barbara J. Reed.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding the provisions of section 101 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or rule to the contrary and in order to promote the public good, the teachers’ retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to pay Barbara J. Reed the surviving spouse of Robert W. Reed a sum not less than $10,000.
