An Act providing credit for VISTA service. .

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 4, Paragraph K, of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is amended by adding at the end in line 172 the following sentence:  Any member who has served in VISTA shall receive full credit for retirement purposes for the period of such service provided that the member pays into the retirement system the amount that would have been withheld as regular deductions from his or her salary during such service.
