An Act relative to municipal and state police.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the contrary, local and state police departments shall have the authority to supervise, transport and utilize the services of inmates of the department of correction in work release programs.
