In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

——————

 

 An Act allowing certain state employees to return to work subsequent to retiring.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.

 

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the position held by a state employee who retires shall be held vacant for a period of 30 days during which time such employee may, I his discretion, decide to rescind his retirement and return to such position.
