Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION
1. Section twenty of Chapter thirty-two of the General Laws, as appearing in
the 2000 Official Edition, is amended by adding in subsection (5) after
sub-subsection (k) the following:
(1) Any merger of the funds of any system with another system shall be
authorized by the vote of the boards of the merging systems only after an
affirmative vote of the active and retired members of such merging systems in
their capacity as plan participants.
