In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 Resolve providing for an investigation and study by a special commission relative to the Commonwealth participating in Social Security.

 

    Resolved,

 

  That a special commission, to consist of two members of the senate, three members of the house of representatives, the chairman of the public employee retirement administration commission or his designee and three persons to be appointed by the governor is hereby established for the purpose of making an investigation and study relative to the costs and benefits to employees and to the commonwealth of the commonwealth participating in social security.
Said commission shall report to the house of representatives the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry its recommendations into effect, by filing same with the clerk of the house of representatives on or before the first Wednesday in December 2008.
