Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 45 of Chapter 30 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting a new e after d in subsection 1.
All such classification specifications shall be established, administered and modified, subject to the approval of the union representing employees within the specifications. The classification specifications shall be the sole criterion utilized for the purpose of hiring, promotion, allocation of positions, bumping and reclassification.
