 An Act relative to the minimum age for appointment as a police officer.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   The second paragraph of section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws, as amended by section 3 of chapter 467 of the acts of 2004, is hereby further amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:–

   No person shall be eligible to take an examination for original appointment to the position of police officer in any city or town if he will not have reached his twenty-first birthday on or before the date of the examination.
