 An Act directing the State Treasurer to publicly disclose proxy votes.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 23 of chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended

by adding at the end thereof the following paragraph: -

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the state treasurer, as treasurer-custodian of funds and securities of the state employees retirement funds shall by himself or through his nominee publicly disclose the proxy voting guidelines used to vote shareholder proxies for assets in the state employee retirement funds and the actual voting record of shareholder proxies voted in the name of the state employees retirement funds.
