In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act directing the State Treasurer to vote in favor of certain shareholder resolutions.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 23 of chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended

by adding at the end thereof the following paragraph: -

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the state treasurer, as treasurer-custodian of funds and securities of the state employees retirement funds shall by himself or through his nominee vote in favor of shareholder resolutions asking for reports from the management of any corporation in which state employee funds are invested in the form of securities.
