 An Act relative to probationary fire fighters.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 1 of Chapter 235 of the Acts of 1994, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:

 

“In a city, town, or fire district, which accepts the provisions of this act, a permanent, provisional, or probationary fire-fighter or police officer, whose employment was terminated and subsequently re-hired to his former position within five years of termination, shall be credited with active service for such a period of un-employment”.
