In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to pension reform. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1.   Section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the word "year", in each place it appears in paragraph (a) of subsection (1), and replacing it in each instance with the following word:— month.

 

Section 2. This act shall take effect on the first Wednesday in January of the 2007 and shall only apply to those persons first sworn into office as an elected official on or after that date.
