In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act further defining the term officer, under the provisions of chapter thirty two. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Subdivision (1) if section 26 of Chapter 32, as appearing in the 1994 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking in lines 3 and 4, the definition of “Officer”, and inserting in place thereof the following:-

                “Officer”, an officer of the department of state police appointed thereto under section ten of chapter twenty-two C or appointed under said section ten, for a period of not less than ten years and subsequently appointed as a special state police officer under the provisions of section fifty-eight of chapter twenty-two C
