In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to provide funding of certain collective bargaining agreements .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Chapter one hundred and fifty E of the Massachusetts General Laws, Section 7, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is further amended as follows:—
In paragraph (b) by deleting the first sentence and substituting the following sentence:—
(b) The employer, other than the state lottery commission, shall submit to the appropriate legislature body within thirty days after the date on which the agreement is executed by the parties, a request for an appropriation necessary to fund the cost items contained therein; provided, that if the General Court is not in session at that time, such request shall be submitted at the next session thereof.

SECTION 2. Said chapter one hundred and fifty E is further amended in Section 7, paragraph (e) by deleting the first sentence and substituting the following sentence:— (c) The provisions of this paragraph shall apply to the state lottery commission.
