 An Act relative to creditable service.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, James Burns shall be eligible to receive creditable service for time spent teaching in a nonpublic school provided before the date any retirement allowance becomes available for him, he pay into the annuity savings find of the appropriate system in one sum, or in installments, an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous period had such service been rendered in a public institution of higher education and had been a member of a state retirement board.
