An Act authorizing Eamon D. Geoghegan to take a civil service examination for the position of police officer in the city of Boston notwithstanding the maximum age requirement. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as police officer, Eamon D. Geoghegan of West Roxbury shall be eligible to take the next open competitive examination for appointment to the position of police officer in the city of Boston; provided, however, that he meets all other requirements, shall be eligible for certification and appointment to the police department of said city of Boston.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
