An Act relative to National Guard benefits .

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 88B of chapter 33 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition is hereby replaced by inserting in place thereof the following new section:-

Section 88B. The commonwealth shall bear the cost of the monthly premiums for any coverage for a member of the Massachusetts National Guard held in the serviceman’s group life insurance program administered by the Veterans Administration, or an equivalent group life insurance program of the serviceman’s choosing, unless such costs are covered by the federal government.
