In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter thirty-two of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, and in recognition of the years of faithful service provided to the commonwealth by Martin O’Brien, 42 Grampian Way, late of the city of Boston and to encourage others to provide such service, the amount of the annual member-survivor allowance available to the spouse of said Martin O’Brien shall be increased by three hundred dollars per year for each year of creditable service of said Martin O’Brien. Said amount to be in addition to any other amount available under the provisions of chapter thirty-two of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of the effective date of the member-survivor allowance granted on the basis of the creditable service of Martin O’Brien.
