In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act requiring the reporting of certain tax information to cities and towns.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 58 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 5 the following section:—
Section 5A. The commissioner shall annually report to each city and town the aggregate amount of state income, sales and excise taxes collected from such city or town for the preceding fiscal year. Such information shall be included in the so-called cherry sheets of the commonwealth.
