 An Act relative to supporting cities and towns.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 64A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 7A the following new section:-

Section 7B.  The sale of fuel to a city or town which having consumed the same for any municipal purpose shall be exempt from the excise established by this chapter.

 

SECTION 2. Chapter 64E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 4 the following new section:-

Section 4A.  The sale of special fuel to a city or town which having consumed the same for any municipal purpose shall be exempt from the excise established by this chapter.
