In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to unsolicited credit cards, checks, and vouchers by mail.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.

 

Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, no resident of the Commonwealth shall be liable for unsolicited credit cards, checks, or vouchers sent to them by commercial banks, mortgage lenders, or any others authorized to do business in the Commonwealth. Such redeemable items, if cashed, shall be the responsibility of said vendors, unless it can be proven the addressee personally redeemed the item.
