In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act increasing the property tax exemption for certain persons over seventy years of age from five hundred to one thousand dollars.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Clause forty-first of section five of chapter 59 of the General Laws is hereby amended, in line 2, as appearing in chapter 967 of the acts of 1977, by striking out the words “five hundred” and inserting in place thereof the following:— “one thousand”.

SECTION 2. Clause forty-first B of section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws is hereby amended, in line 2, as appearing in chapter 553 of the acts of 1982, by striking out the words “five hundred” and inserting in place thereof the following:— “one thousand”.
