In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 5, of Chapter 59, of the
Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is
hereby amended by adding the following new subsection:—
Seventeenth E ½. Real estate shall be exempt for a home owner who has
reached sixty-five years of age, and who has owned and occupied said home for
twenty-five years while paying property tax on said home for twenty-five years,
and whose annual income does not exceed $40,000.
