In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act limiting tax exemptions for educational instituations.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. the third clause of section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (e) the following subsection: -

 

(f) In no instance shall the exemption provided by this section to an educational institution exceed 75% of its fair commercial tax rate.
