In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to Amend the Community Preservation Act.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1.  Section 2 of chapter 44B of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in lines 12 and 13 the words “low and moderate income” and adding the words low, moderate, and middle income”.

 

Section 2.  Section 2 of Chapter 44B of the General Laws is hereby further amended by inserting after line 41 the following:  “Middle income housing” housing for those persons and families whose annual income is less than 120 per cent of the area wide median income.  The areawide median income shall be the areawide median income as determined by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
