An Act defining substantial value.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 268A of the General Laws appearing in the 2004 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following definition:—

            (R) “Substantial value”, anything with a value of $500 of more, unless a court determines that based upon the facts of a particular case a higher amount should apply.
