In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to further streamline the permitting process.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

 

 

 

SECTION 1.  Section 27C of Chapter 9 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 7 of chapter 254 of the Acts of 1988, is hereby further amended by inserting the following paragraph: - 

Notwithstanding the provisions of section twenty six, actions governed by this section shall be under the supervision and control of the secretary of the executive office of environmental affairs.

 

SECTION 2.  The secretary of the executive office of environmental affairs is hereby authorized and directed to appoint such assistants and employees as deemed necessary to implement the provisions of this act.

 

SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect on July the first, two thousand and seven.
