In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the board of directors at the Massachusetts Port Authority .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1 of chapter 465 of the Acts of 1956 is hereby amended by adding at the end the following:—
(s) The term “impacted communities” shall refer to any city, town, or neighborhood of a city that is located within the noise contour boundaries established by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Authority for the purpose of the residential soundproofing program or a host community of an airport operated by the Authority.

SECTION 2. Section 2 of chapter 465 of the Acts of 1956 is hereby amended by striking the word “seven” in line 12 and inserting in place the following: “nine”.

SECTION 3. Section 2 of chapter 465 of the Acts of 1956 is hereby amended by adding in line 22 after the word “Authority” the following: “Two such members shall be residents of an impacted community as defined by section 1(s) of this act.”

SECTION 4. Section 2 of chapter 465 of the Acts of 1956 is hereby amended by striking the word “Four” in lines 67 and 68 and inserting in place, in each instance, the following: “Five”

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
