An Act relative to direct payments.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Subdivision (1) of section 39F of chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-  (1)  Every contract awarded pursuant to sections 44A to L, inclusive, of chapter 149 and every contract awarded pursuant to section 39M of chapter 30 shall contain the following subparagraphs and in each case those subparagraphs shall be binding between the general contractor and each subcontractor.
