 An Act making certain changes in the subcontracting of transportation services .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   SECTION 1. Section 19C(vi) of chapter 161A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the word “basis” the following:— provided that the rate per hour paid to employees of corporations, partnerships, associations or other entities, providing services the authority by contract, shall not be paid less than the rate per hour paid to full- and part-time employees of the authority performing similar tasks with similar responsibilities and skill requirements.

   SECTION 2. Section 19C(vi) of chapter 161A of the General Laws is hereby further amended by inserting at the end thereof the following:— and provided further that the cost of any proposal to perform services, including repair services, offered to the Authority which is based in whole or in part on the proposed performance of said services outside the Commonwealth shall be adjusted by the net expense to the Commonwealth of lost tax revenue, increased unemployment insurance costs and other costs associated with the elimination of positions at the Authority.
