In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the renewable energy portfolio.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.                Section 11F of Chapter 25A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding after the words “or organic refuse derived fuel; provided,” the following:

                    However, such low emission, advanced biomass power conversion technologies shall not burn more than 20% demolition and construction waste as a portion of the generator’s total biomass fuel source.  The Division of Energy Resources and the Department of Environmental Protection shall jointly promulgate rules and regulations for the implementation of said section immediately following the passage of this act.
