In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to telemarketing solicitation.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1 of chapter 159C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “call;”, in line 41, the following word:- or.

SECTION 2.  Said section 1 of said chapter 159C, as so appearing is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 43 to 47 inclusive, the words “; or (iv) in which the sale of goods and services is not completed, and payment or authorization of payment is not required, until after a face-to-face sales presentation by the telephone solicitor or a meeting between the telephone solicitor and customer”.

SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect on January 1, 2008.
