 An Act to benefit ratepayers.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 164 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding, after section 94H, the following section:-

 

Section 94I.  The Department shall not authorize any distribution company or gas company to recover from customers any portion of the benefits resulting from advocacy efforts, including but not limited to litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, in excess of one hundred thousand dollars.
