An Act regarding the authority of the Commissioner of the Division of Energy Resources.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 11A of Chapter 25A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding after Paragraph (b) the following paragraph:

(c) The commissioner of energy resources shall have the sole authority to enter into any interstate compacts which affect the diversity or reliability of energy which affect the energy markets, impact the fuel diversity goals of the Commonwealth or has the potential to affect the reliability of electricity in the Commonwealth.
