In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to farm energy production.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.

 

                Paragraph (1) of subsection (f) of section 4E of chapter 40J of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the word “engine” the following: -

 

                “…provided, further, that the board may make grants from the fund, not to exceed a total of $1,000,000 annually, in support of Massachusetts farms and farm organizations, including Communities Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA) and the Massachusetts Farm Bureau, to develop farm-based renewable energy capabilities, including wind harvesting, solar and photovoltaic energy sources to reduce energy costs for Massachusetts farmers.”
